About Us

The origin story

Whitman Services Group started with a simple observation: small businesses were paying three, four, sometimes five different vendors to keep their operations running — an IT company here, a bookkeeper there, a marketing freelancer somewhere else. Nobody talked to each other. Nobody owned the full picture. And when something broke, everyone pointed at someone else.

We built WSG to be the opposite of that: one partner, accountable for all of it.

Who are we?

Whitman Services Group is a Chicagoland-based team of technology, finance, and operations professionals who believe small businesses deserve the same quality of back-office support that big companies take for granted.

Behind the team is a simple belief: your technology, your financials, and your marketing aren't separate problems. They're one operation. We built WSG so they'd finally be treated that way.

Who do we serve?

We work with small businesses across the Chicagoland area — typically 10 to 30 people — in professional services, healthcare, construction, and finance. Our clients have one thing in common: they're focused on growing, and they're done letting technology problems, messy books, or a neglected marketing presence slow them down.

Values

Business First — Every recommendation we make starts with what your business needs, not what's easiest for us to sell.
Clarity Over Complexity — You'll never get jargon, mystery invoices, or answers you need a translator for.
Proactive Ownership — We find and fix problems before they reach your team. You'll hear about issues from us, not discover them yourself.
Seamless Execution — Things just work. That's the whole point.

How do we work?

Every client gets our premium service level — we don't tier away the things that matter. One monthly agreement, one invoice, one point of contact, and a quarterly review that covers your technology, your financials, and your marketing in a single conversation.

If that sounds like the kind of partner your business has been missing, let's have a conversation.
